Family day - 19/10/2025

Things seem somewhat back to normal...

I decided to make a delicious Caramel Cheesecake, it was delicious though not perfect. I invited C's mother & brother over for a late lunch. C and I went shopping, she got a reality check on how expensive things are in the real world.

We had a nice lunch, I ended up having a somewhat non-stop conversation with C's mother, spoke to C the least not out of malice or ill-intent, just simply we don't really have much to discuss i.e. no real connection. Her mother is an interesting woman to chat to. We discussed some deep-frying foods which we ended up making later. I made some delicious steak canapés on toasted baguettes, some cheescake with fudge bits and caramel sauce, then delved into some deep-frying with crumbed mushrooms and a bad attempt at KFC fried chicken.

The after we spent time watching series, C soaked/scrubbed my feet for the first time which was a little out of the ordinary but I enjoyed it. Later that night, I got some McDonalds - not my finest moment but I did. (spoiler alert, morning after I know I had McD's - my morning ablutions are telling).

Note: I feel like a preschooler righting this diary entry, I have no idea why but can't seem to make it sound more mature... it's a Monday morning too.
